About Reiki
Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It’s based on the idea that there is an unseen energy that flows through all living things.
The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: Rei, which means “Universal” or “Spiritual,” and Ki, which means “life force energy.” So in a sense, Reiki is understood as Universal life force energy.
When this energy is low, we may feel stressed or become ill; when it’s high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki sessions typically last between 30 and 90 minutes and are non-invasive, with the recipient lying down or sitting upright fully clothed while the practitioner gently places their hands on or near different parts of the body.
Many people use Reiki as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments. Clients report feelings of deep relaxation, peace, and well-being.
About Kim
I am a healer and light worker with a unequivocal faith in human potential. About ten years ago, I embarked on a path to understand how to tune into our greatest assets. I was instantly drawn to the energy bodies and how they interact with the physical, mental and spiritual bodies. The rainbow of the chakra system and the power of the breath kept calling to me.
The journey started with studying religions and physics along side one another, as I saw that they seek answers to the same questions from different lenses. I started to practice the asana of yoga (physical movement) which introduced me to prana (breath).
I kept a yoga practice for over 20 years as a devoted student. I followed the cycles of moon and nature. I started to garden and care for the earth. I also studied, practiced and taught martial arts. This period of life brought me closer to understanding my Warrior spirit, my divine feminine and energies in me.
During this time, I also learned to meditate. I devoured every book and experience I could in my own life, becoming more and more aware of presence and the spiritual energies in and around us.
I was lead to a point where I compelled to take my studies deeper. I was introduced to Reiki by my Sensi who, along side being a 9th degree Black Belt, was also a Reiki Master. I had benefited from the healing work of the practice and that always stuck with me. And so I found a school and became a Practitioner.
I was also drawn to learn more about the spiritual components of yoga and earned my Teacher Certification in the study of Kundalini Yoga. In that program, I learned Ayurvedic Psychology, studied the Chakras as well as Ancient Chinese Medicine systems.
Wild Heart Reiki is founded on the notion that in our most wild of heats lies the inspiration, creativity and vitality to live our most wild and beautiful lives.
